Douglas P. Krause is the Vice Chairman & Chief Corporate Officer of East West Bancorp and East West Bank. He has also served as the Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel for East West and has over 20 years of experience overseeing anti-money laundering programs. Prior to East West, Mr. Krause served as General Counsel of Metrobank. Mr. Krause started his legal career at the law firm of Jones Day.
Mr. Krause serves on the boards of the Western Bankers Association and the International Bankers Association of California. He is a past commissioner and audit committee chair of the Port of Los Angeles and of the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority.
Mr. Krause received a bachelor's degree from Carleton College and a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he graduated with honors and was managing editor of the Columbia Law Review.
