David Moore Devine serves as executive vice president, chief marketing officer of Umpqua Bank. In addition to leading marketing, public relations and corporate social responsibility functions, Mr. Moore Devine also plays an integral role in leading and supporting the company’s culture. Prior to Umpqua’s merger with Columbia Bank in 2023, Mr. Moore Devine served as executive vice president, chief marketing and experience officer at Columbia Bank.
Mr. Moore Devine serves as chair on the Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County, and continuously served on the board of the Tacoma Urban League from 2014 to 2024. He is a former member of the Washington State Historical Society Board of Trustees, and he served six terms as the chair of the Washington Bankers Association’s marketing committee. Mr. Moore Devine received the 2016 George Bailey Distinguished Service Award from the American Bankers Association, and he was recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal (PSBJ) as one of their “Outstanding Voices” in 2017, which was established to recognize LGBTQ+ business leaders working to build inclusivity within the business community. He was also named by the PSBJ as a Forty Under 40 leader in 2016. His work has received three Pulse Awards by the Puget Sound chapter of the American Marketing Association.
